When you attend the Banff Film Festival in Grand Junction or Delta, your ticket goes to benefit the following nonprofits in the region.


Colorado Canyons Association fosters community stewardship, education, and awareness of our National Conservation Lands with a focus on McInnis Canyons, Dominguez-Escalante, and Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Areas (NCAs) in western Colorado.

Colorado National Monument Association (CNMA) supports the Colorado National Monument’s educational, interpretive, and scientific programs, helping visitors better understand and connect to this premier geologic and recreational gem in Western Colorado.

In partnership with land management agencies WCCC AmeriCorps Members work on projects such as: building and maintaining trails, fuel mitigation, fence construction and maintenance, invasive species removal, and habitat restoration.

The Outdoor Program is Colorado Mesa University’s headquarters for outdoor adventure and education. We are a student fee funded organization, whose purpose is to offer and promote affordable, safe, environmentally conscious, common adventure trips, outdoor trainings, and equipment rental.

The Colorado Mesa University Center for Global Learning and Engagement advances and coordinates international education opportunities both on campus and abroad. The office manages international student enrollment, supports outbound study abroad initiatives, and provides cross-cultural and intercultural programming. Proceeds from the BANFF Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour Grand Junction help fund campus-wide cultural programming, new-student welcome baskets, and the International Student Peer Mentor Program, which pairs American student volunteers with incoming international students to foster meaningful intercultural relationships.

COPMOBA is a member-supported nonprofit organization of volunteer mountain bikers that advocate for mountain biking trails in western Colorado by building and maintaining sustainable singletrack in connection with our communities.

Each summer, the Environmental Institute at EUREKA! serves over 500 students through week-long summer camps, which provide Mesa County youth the opportunity to explore the outdoors, connect with their peers, and gain skills and knowledge in outdoor leadership and ecology.

The Museums of Western Colorado connects people of all ages with the landscapes, science, and heritage of the Western Slope through hands-on education, outdoor learning programs, and community partnerships. Our work supports lifelong curiosity, fosters environmental stewardship, and expands access to meaningful experiences that inspire adventure and appreciation for the natural world.

Riverside Educational Centers (REC) provides Mesa County students with high-quality academic and extracurricular experiences during out-of-school hours. Serving students in grades K–12, REC offers structured tutoring and diverse enrichment activities that support academic achievement, social and emotional growth, and individual potential within a safe, supportive, and inclusive community.
